Gel blasters split into three clear tiers, and the price tells you what is inside.
- EGP 1,000 to 2,350. Nylon bodies, 7.4 volt batteries, automatic fire. Perfect as a first blaster or a gift. The AKM 47 at EGP 1,000 and the M416 at EGP 2,100 sit here.
- EGP 2,800 to 7,000. Better internals, some metal parts, longer range, and they survive being used every weekend. The ARP9 at EGP 3,500 is the one most people settle on.

What actually changes as you go up
Three things, in this order. Weight and feel: a metal blaster is heavier and behaves like the real shape it copies. Power: 11.1 volt models have a faster trigger response and a higher rate of fire than 7.4 volt ones. Durability: the gearbox is what breaks on a cheap blaster used hard, and it is the first thing the mid tier improves.
What does not change is the ammunition. Every model fires the same soft water gel balls, so a more expensive blaster does not cost more to run.
Buying for someone under 18
Gel blasters and similar products are made for ages 18 and over, and the competition models are strictly 18 plus. If the blaster is for a teenager, stay in the first tier and buy safety glasses at EGP 69 with it. Gel balls are not toxic, but eyes are eyes.
What to buy with it
One pack of 10,000 hardened gel balls at EGP 700 lasts a long afternoon with friends. Soak them in water for 3 to 4 hours before you play so they reach full size. Add a mask from the masks collection if you are playing outdoors in a group.
