What is a temporary tattoo?

A temporary tattoo is a design printed on transfer paper. You press it onto clean skin, wet the back of the paper, and the design moves onto your skin. There are no needles and nothing goes under the skin, so you can wear a design for a night out, a concert or a photo shoot and take it off when you are done.

What temporary tattoos cost in Egypt

How to apply a temporary tattoo

1. Clean the skin and dry it well. Skip lotion or oil on that spot.
2. Cut out the design you want and peel off the clear protective film.
3. Press the design face down on the skin.
4. Wet the back of the paper with a damp cloth or sponge until it is soaked through, and keep pressing.
5. Slide the paper off slowly, then let the tattoo dry without rubbing it.

How to remove it

Rub it gently with baby oil or any cooking oil on a cotton pad, or with rubbing alcohol, then wash with soap and water. Soap and water alone also works, just more slowly.

Where to wear it

• Small singles: wrist, ankle, collarbone, behind the ear or the back of the hand.
• 110 x 180 mm sheets: forearm, upper arm, calf or shoulder blade.
• Sleeves: most of the arm.

Good to know

• Put it on healthy skin only, never on cuts, sunburn or irritated skin.
• If your skin is sensitive, try a small piece first.
• Keep it away from the eyes.
• A tattoo that has been applied cannot be returned. One that arrives damaged or wrong is replaced or refunded when reported within 48 hours.
